Student Pass Application
In accordance with SINGAPORE Immigration Act, any foreigner who is not a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident, and wishes to pursue full-time studies at MAGES Institute of Excellence, is required to apply for a Student’s Pass. The processing time for Student Pass application is about minimum of 4 weeks upon receipt of the application by ICA
MAGES Institute of Excellence will apply for the Student Pass with Immigration and Check Points Authority of Singapore on your behalf after receiving your signed Letter of Acceptance.
In order to receive your student pass approval on time, please send us the following documents before lodgment of your student pass application:
• 1 set of completed eForm 16 and eForm 36
• 2 recent passport sized photographs with white background (Size: 35mm x 43mm)
• 1 clear copy of your Passport ( with at least 6 month’s validity )
• Translated and certified copy of your Birth Certificate
• Translated and certified copies of your Academic Transcripts and Certificates
• MAGES Institute of Excellence’s Letter of Acceptance
Students from visa required countries need to provide the following additional documents:
(1) Documentary proof of financial ability (showing the total amount of more than SG$30,000) in the form of financial statements like fixed deposit statements/savings account statements/bank statements.
(2) Supporting documents such as pay slips indicating your parents’ monthly income (as stated on Form V36, Part F).
Additional Documents are required If one of your parents/step-parents is a Singapore Citizen / Singapore Permanent Resident:
• Copy of the your parent’s / step-parents Official Marriage Certificate / Divorce Certificate and Custody Paper (Original & Photocopied)
• Parent’s/step-parents highest education certificate
• Parent’s/step-parents Letter of Employment (letter should state the employment commencement date, designation, and salary per month) or a copy of Business Registration Certificate (an Instant Computer Printout is acceptable) if your parent/step-parents is self-employed. These documents should not be issued more than 1 month ago
• Parent’s/step-parents monthly CPF contribution for the past 12 months
• Parent’s/step-parents Income Tax Assessment Notices for the past 3 years
Additional Documents required for the interview at Singapore Embassy in Beijing
• Original certified copy and photocopies of applicant’s birth certificate
• Original certified copy and photocopies of highest academic educational certificate
• Original certified copy and photocopies of result transcripts
• 4 month RMB 150,0000 fixed Deposit.*
• Parents Monthly Income Slip
* All notarized certificates must be issued by the Local Chinese Notary Public Office, certified by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, PRC as well as the Singapore Embassy/Consulate-General in China.

Instructions:
1. * Certificates must be translated and notarized in English language if medium of language is other than English.
2. Testimonial Letter from School or college should be given
3.Statement of Purpose should be provided
4. All Forms must be signed by the students themselves
5. Dates MUST be consistent across All Documents
6. If there is any gap between studies and work, needs to give gap certificate
7. Certificates other than mentioned in the above checklist will be asked from the candidate subject to ICA requirements.
